After many years of hard work, Augustsson's old proud factory owner has gone into well-deserved retirement. Left behind are the loyal housekeeper Berta (Jeanette Capocci) and the dutiful but somewhat stressed foreman Bergman (Mikael Riesebeck), ready to take over and lead the factory into a new era together with the kind-hearted – but perhaps not always equally sharp – accountant Putte (Jojje Jönsson).
Very soon the trio realizes that handling numbers and business strategies is easier said than done, and they decide to hire a director.
The choice falls on the charming and driven Filip Fjording (Peter Gröning), a smooth-talking man who quickly shoulders the responsibility for the factory's affairs.
But behind the charming facade lies a devious plan. Fjording has quickly realized that Berta, Bergman, and Putte are more than ordinarily gullible, and he therefore sets a plan in motion to swindle the entire company from the trio.
Meanwhile in the elegant penthouse, next door to the factory, Berta's sisters Ditte (Jennie Rosengren) and the heavily pregnant Nora (Linnéa Lexfors) have gathered their families to prepare for the christening of Ditte's and her gruff but loving husband Major Håård's (Pär Nymark) little boy. But in the midst of all preparations, the sisters begin to suspect that something isn't right with the new director and decide to stop the fraudster!
Outsmarting a con man proves to be anything but easy. And when Bergman simultaneously tries to propose to Berta, the baby escapes, and the easily frightened parish assistant Rakel (Annika Andersson) is persuaded to seduce the director on behalf of the sisters - then the circus begins. The brandy flows freely, confusion is total, and nothing goes according to plan!
It becomes a fast-paced comedy fest with crazy antics, quirky characters, and a story filled with wild misunderstandings and complications! Meet a star-studded ensemble: Annika Andersson, Mikael Riesebeck, Jojje Jönsson, Jeanette Capocci, Peter Gröning, Jennie Rosengren, Linnéa Lexfors and Pär Nymark.
