One of Astrid Lindgren’s most beloved stories comes to life as a spectacular family theatre production at Lorensbergsteatern. Ronja Rövardotter is an exciting and emotional performance filled with music, adventure and magical encounters – a perfect theatre experience for both children and adults.
On the night Ronja is born, a violent thunderstorm sweeps across the mountains. Lightning strikes and splits Mattisborgen in two. In one half, the rival robber chief Borka and his band move in, reigniting a long-standing feud. Deep in Mattisskogen mysterious creatures await – including vildvittror, rumpnissar och grådvärgar.
As Ronja grows up, she explores the enchanted forest and meets Birk, the son of her father’s enemy. Between them lies Helvetesgapet but also the beginning of a secret friendship. Together they challenge dangers, traditions and the conflict between their families in a story about courage, freedom and finding your own path.
