About Petra Mede

Petra Mede had her big breakthrough in the comedy show Parlamentet (The Parlament) in 2007. That same year, she was named Newcomer of the Year and the following year awarded Female Comedian of the Year award at the Swedish Standup Gala. Since then, she has become one of Sweden’s most popular comedians and presenters. She has hosted both Melodifestivalen and the Swedish Film Awards. In 2013, she received widespread acclaim as the host of the Eurovision Song Contest – an honorary role she returned to in 2016 alongside Måns Zelmerlöw.
Petra is also an actress and has appeared in a number TV series, including Bonusfamiljen (Bonus Family), and the play Den inbillade sjuke (The Imaginary Invalid).
